Guidelines for Authors

Authorship and Contributorship:

  • Authors listed should significantly contribute to the research in its conception, design, execution, or interpretation.

  • The order of authorship and detailed contributions should be clear and agreed upon, using the Credit taxonomy for clarity.

  • The corresponding author must be specified before submission, acting as the main contact for editorial communications.

  • Authors must provide comprehensive personal and affiliation details, including ORCID IDs, to ensure transparency and facilitate communication.

Ethics in Research Involving Humans and Animals:

  • Studies must have received approval from an appropriate IRB or ethics committee.

  • Informed consent must be secured for all human participants.

  • Animal research must comply with ethical standards for treatment and care.

Privacy and Confidentiality:

  • Authors must safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of study participants and handle sensitive data securely.

 

Conflict of Interest:

  • Authors should disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that might affect the interpretation of their findings.

 

Reporting Standards:

  • Authors must adhere to established reporting guidelines appropriate to their study design.

 

Data Integrity and Reproducibility:

  • Authors are responsible for the integrity of their data and must ensure the reproducibility of their results.

Guidelines for Editors

Editorial Authority and Responsibilities:

  • Editors-in-Chief and Co-Editors-in-Chief have full oversight of the publication's content and editorial decisions.

  • Handling Editors manage the peer review process of submissions.

  • Guest Editors handle the content and organization of special issues based on approved proposals.

 

Ethical Oversight and Response:

  • Pre-submission plagiarism checks are mandatory.

  • Ethical concerns should be addressed by contacting authors for clarification.
     

Handling Misconduct:

  • Appropriate actions, including retraction or correction of articles, will be taken if ethical violations are confirmed.

  • Authors retain the copyright of their papers presented at the IMDC-IST Conference.

  • Authors grant the conference organizers a non-exclusive, perpetual license to distribute and display the submitted work in various formats, including conference proceedings, websites, and other media, for academic and non-commercial purposes.


Licensing:

  • All papers accepted and presented at the IMDC-IST Conference will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as they credit the authors for the original creation.
